“"My time at Burnley High School was great and I wish I could come back and spend one more day in History with Mr Bradley-Green, English Literature with Mrs Nixon and RE with Mrs Metcalfe.
I'm currently studying at Burnley College and I do Level 3 Forensics and Criminal investigation. I currently have a part time job so I can save up for my university funds.
I’ve applied to the University of Central Lancashire to study Forensic Science, which I will start in September this year - I got my passion for this from my Chemistry lessons at school.I would love to come back for a day and speak to students about my experiences, but I might not want to leave this time as I miss it so much!"

“My name is Mia Fort and I was a founder member of Burnley High School. I was also successful in my application to be the school's first Head Student.

I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent at BHS, it was a small school and it felt like we were one big family.
I felt that each member of staff knew who I was and were able to give me the support and guidance I needed.
I left BHS with 8 GCSE grade 5 and above, I know that I wouldn't have achieved these grades without the support, guidance and belief my teachers had in me.
On leaving BHS I went onto study A-Levels in Sociology, Law, English Literature and English Language.
I am currently at Edge Hill University studying Law on completion of my degree I hope to go onto complete a MSc in International Sport Management which will enable me to pursue a career as a Specialist Sports Solicitor.
“Jodie was our Deputy Head student and we could not be more proud of her achievements. She credits her teachers at our school for giving her the confidence to audition for Drama college, where she is currently a second year Musical Theatre student and Manchester College. She says "The school has set me up for a promising future, so I can't thank Burnley High enough".
